Meditation

Meditation brings awareness to yourself. In the brain, the neurons are conditioned to fire a certain way, like trauma triggers, which continue this cycle of pattern that continuously bothers you with unwanted past memories. Healing from trauma, perfectionism, and OCD, I had to find a way to unlearn some problematic patterns of my behavior. Meditation helps the neurons reset and strengthen different connections. Every time I meditate, I feel fresh and awake. Not the type of feeling when you wake up in the morning, but rather, a kind of peaceful and zen-like feeling that is not easily explained with words. It has feelings of euphoria, minus excitement. My heart is beating, but not the same as when adrenaline rushes through me. My brain is alert, and I can feel alive and present at the moment.
