I went to a tote bag painting workshop and they provided bags with designs printed on them. I know that I’m a fairly messy painter, so I decided that, instead of trying to paint neatly and within the lines and planning everything out from the start, I’ll just start painting and see where it goes. I chose all the colours that made me happiest and painted outside the lines a little intentionally, and ended up finding a style that makes me happiest to look at! Despite not being a skilled painter, I left the workshop incredibly proud of my painting because it’s beautiful to me and makes me smile so wide. The most impactful art is that which makes people feel something. To me, when I create anything, the most important thing to me is that it makes me or someone else happy!
